James Rhodes

Responsibilities

Jim Rhodes is responsible for compliance, governance, and oversight of the Health Insurance Funds. He also oversees government relations, develops policies and procedures, and contributes to the implementation of strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Background

Jim’s health and benefits experience is significant. During his time at IBC, he represented the organization and the managed care industry through various roles. These included placements on government commissions and industry-related boards and committees, such as the New Jersey Mandated Health Benefits Review Commission, the New Jersey Health Data Commission, and serving as Vice Chair of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans.

Community Involvement

Jim is actively involved in several volunteer roles. He serves as Vice Chair of the board of directors for the Larc Norcross School in Bellmawr, NJ, and as Chair of the Haddon Township Shade Tree Commission. He is also an emeritus member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and will be inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni in April 2026. Additionally, Jim completed 12 years of service on the Rutgers University Board of Trustees, served as Chair of the Camden County Board of Social Services, sat on the Executive Committee of the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health, and served on the board of the Friends of the Camden County Child Advocacy Center.
